Joey spent 11½ years in the maintenance department of a medical manufacturer, where the job was whatever the day needed: concrete floor finishing, warehouse management, landscaping, even rolling in hours before dawn to plow the lot so employees never knew it had snowed. So when friends and family kept showing him quotes from big construction outfits that made his jaw drop, he knew the work and knew the math: it shouldn't cost that.
