01 Materials We Install

Vinyl. Hardie. SmartSide.

Each material has a job it does best. We quote the right one for your house, your budget, and how long you plan to stay, not the one with the biggest margin.

A
Vinyl & Insulated Vinyl
The value workhorse: low maintenance, big color range, and insulated profiles that stiffen panels and add R-value. Honest caveat: it can crack in hail, which matters in our corridor (and is exactly what insurance claims are for).
B
Fiber Cement (Hardie)
James Hardie lap and shake. Heavier, fire-resistant, holds paint for 12–15 years, and shrugs off hail that totals vinyl. The premium choice for a long-term home, installed to Hardie’s spec so the warranty actually holds.
C
LP SmartSide
Engineered wood: the look of real cedar grain with treated-strand durability. Easier on the budget than Hardie, tougher than vinyl, and it takes dark colors beautifully. Our most-requested option on remodels.
02 What's Included

Every Re-Side. Full Scope.

A re-side from ON SITE is a building-envelope job, not a cosmetic one. Every full re-side includes:

  • Complete tear-off & disposal: sheathing inspected and photographed before cover
  • Fresh house wrap with taped seams: airtight, the detail most re-sides skip
  • New flashing integration at every window, door, and roof line
  • Trim, fascia & soffit wrapped or replaced to match
  • Color-matched accessories: corners, J-channel, mounting blocks
  • Manufacturer-registered warranty + our 5-year workmanship warranty

Storm damage or one bad elevation? We repair too, and document it the way insurers need:

  • Hail & wind panel replacement with color matching on aged siding
  • Wood-rot replacement behind failed panels
  • Soffit & fascia repair
  • Elevation-by-elevation photo documentation for claims
  • Whole-side replacement when matching is impossible (a common claim outcome)
  • Caulk, paint touch-up, and cleanup before we leave
03 Storm & Hail Claims

Hail Cracks Vinyl. Claims Fix It.

Spring hail that bruises a roof usually cracks and holes the vinyl on the windward elevations too. Because faded siding can’t be color-matched panel-by-panel, Ohio claims often pay to replace the entire affected side, sometimes the whole house. We photograph every elevation, meet your adjuster, and write the scope in the format they work in.

Same honest caveat as our roofing work: if the damage won’t support a claim, we’ll say so before you call your carrier.

04 Siding FAQ

Straight Answers.

Vinyl or Hardie: which should I pick?

Staying under 10 years or watching budget: quality insulated vinyl is hard to beat. Long-term home, or you want fire resistance and hail durability: Hardie. SmartSide splits the difference. We quote two options side-by-side when it’s a judgment call.

Can you match my existing siding color?

Often, but honestly, not always. Vinyl fades, and profiles get discontinued. For small repairs we source the closest match and pull from hidden elevations when needed. When matching is impossible on an insurance repair, that’s an argument for whole-side replacement, and we make it to your adjuster.

Do you install over the old siding?

No. Going over old siding traps moisture problems and hides rotted sheathing, and it usually voids the manufacturer warranty. We tear off, inspect, photograph, fix what we find, and then install on a clean wall.

How long does a full re-side take?

Most Canton-area homes run two to five days depending on size, material, and how much trim work the house has. Fiber cement runs longer than vinyl. You’ll have the timeline in writing before we start.
