01 How a Claim Runs

Document. Meet. Rebuild.

Most claim denials aren’t about the damage; they’re about documentation that didn’t make the case. We build the case before anyone calls the carrier.

A
Document First
Free inspection with elevation-by-elevation photos, test squares, and soft-metal evidence: the proof adjusters check first. You’ll know whether the claim is worth filing before your carrier ever hears about it.
B
Meet the Adjuster
We’re on the roof with your adjuster, walking them through every finding. Our scopes are Xactimate-aligned (the same estimating system insurers use), so the conversation is about facts, not formats. When the first approval misses real damage, we file the supplement.
C
Rebuild & Bill Direct
Approved scope goes to our own crews: roofing, siding, gutters, drywall, paint, all under the one-contract model. We bill the insurer directly and handle mortgage-company endorsements. Your out-of-pocket is your deductible, full stop.

03 Straight Talk

What You Pay. What We Don’t Do.

On an approved claim, your cost is your deductible. That’s how the policy works, and anyone offering to "eat the deductible" is committing insurance fraud and signing you up for it too. We don’t do that, and we don’t inflate scopes to cover it invisibly. The scope we write is the damage that exists.

And if our inspection says the damage won’t support a claim, we tell you before you file. A denied claim sits on your record and helps nobody.

04 Insurance Claims FAQ

Straight Answers.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?

Storm claims in Ohio are typically treated as acts of God and rated differently than at-fault claims. After a major hail event, carriers re-rate the whole region whether you filed or not. Every policy differs; we’ll give you our honest read on whether the damage justifies the claim, and the decision stays yours.

How long do I have to file?

Most Ohio policies give you a limited window from the date of loss, often one year, sometimes two, and the details live in your policy. The practical answer: document damage promptly after a storm. Evidence weathers, deadlines don’t move, and our free inspection timestamps everything.

What’s a supplement?

The first adjuster scope frequently misses real items: code-required ice barrier, hidden decking damage, detached structures. A supplement is the documented request to add them. We file supplements as a routine part of the job, not as an afterthought, which is a big piece of that 98% number.

Do I have to use my insurance company’s "preferred contractor"?

No. Ohio law puts the choice of contractor with you, not your carrier. Preferred-vendor programs are convenient for the insurer; you’re free to hire whoever you trust on your roof.
